Cleone was my great grand grandma, she was an amazing person. I loved hearing her tell stories about when she was younger. She would tell me stories about her getting into trouble for pranks like putting a cow in the school for a prank. I always loved it when we would go down Mt. Cleone was my great grand grandma, she was an amazing person. I loved hearing her tell stories about when she was younger. She would tell me stories about her getting into trouble for pranks like putting a cow in the school for a prank. I always loved it when we would go down Mt. Ayr to visit her, we always did it for Easter. We would all get into our cars and drive down for the weekend. We would do all of the regular Easter fun for us then kids, then everyone would work together to clean up the yard for them. We would have hobo breakfasts and grandma would always make cupcakes or cookies with me. We had to make the frosting and do everything by scratch, so of course we had to try it all. Grandma would always lean over and whisper when no one else was watching "Now we have to try to make sure its okay for everyone else." Being a kid I had no complaints, last time we went down to visit I wasnt a kid anymore. I told that story to grandma and the next day when she was eating, she leaned over and said it again. This time she said "Now you have to try it and make sure its safe for me. Every bite she took I had to take one with too if I wouldn't take a bite then she wouldn't, granted the food was not what I would of like to be eating. I had to do it for her, it made her so happy that i remembered that from when i was kid. I am so glad that I made that memory happen I will always have that to think of when I am feeling sad about missing her. She was an amazing woman who touched so many peoples hearts and there lifes. She will be missed more then one could ever imagine. She is now with grandpa and happy to once again be with her one true love.

My toe getting smashed in the car door when she was driving the boys and me around on the paper route. Lots of strawberry's to eat with the cool whip "in the can" in Marshalltown for a treat while she worked. the "little lady driving the big car pulling the camper" that Bridgetter said was amazing! She called when Joe broke his hip around Ames are and they were at the Ames hospital. She was such an active person all her life with so many interests. I love her

My prayers and thoughts go with you at this time I will always remember as a child when the neighborhood got together playing cards with your Mom. She was a loving caring person.

I enjoyed the time spent visiting with your mom when we were both at Clearview Nursing Home. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.
First remember her when she brought you to the Mt. Ayr lake for you to take swim lessons. Then later she was in the neighborhood club & attended meetings at your house. The last time I visited at Clearview ...she was in her wheel chair...smiled that precious smile as we talked. Love & prayers.
